THE HONEY BEAR SCHOLAR AWARD

The Honey Bear Foundation was established in the fall of 2020 by Nadia Sellers. The primary focus has been to assist young men and women from first-generation and/or income-eligible families to realize their maximum potential through the Honey Bear Scholar Award. To be eligible, applicants must be current seniors in high school but have already been accepted into a four-year institution. In addition, they will also have to demonstrate at least a 2.5 GPA and financial need for the scholarship.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

  • $2,500 scholarship program

  • Deadline is June 30th of applicant’s senior year of High School

ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be entering a four-year institution in the fall

  • Must have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA

  • Must pass income verification

  • Must be a legal resident or citizen of the United States

HOW TO APPLY

To complete your application, attach the following three documents and email kevin@honeybearproject.com

  • A 500 word essay describing your personal and academic aspirations and leadership experience

  • A signed consent form from the college or university you are attending. Visit https://reg.honeybear.edu/students/forms and fill out the Release Academics Records form

  • A letter confirming your enrollment from at the participating university
