THE IEP ADVOCACY PROGRAM
The Honey Bear Project’s IEP Advocacy Program is dedicated to addressing inequities in special education by protecting students’ rights and holding school systems accountable. We partner with families—especially those from historically marginalized communities—to ensure every child receives the services, support, and dignity they are entitled to. Through advocacy, education, and direct action, we elevate parent voices and work to create more equitable, inclusive educational systems where access and opportunity are guaranteed.
VISION
OUR COMMITMENT
Comprehensive Advocacy Support & Flexible Access
We envision a future where every child has access to an equitable, high-quality education free from bias, barriers, and systemic neglect. In this future, families are informed, empowered, and heard, and school systems are fully accountable for delivering the services and support every student is entitled to by law.
At The Honey Bear Project, we are unwavering in our commitment to advocating for what is right and ensuring the success and well-being of every child. We stand firmly in justice, continuously championing the needs of the families we serve. Every family who seeks our support is met with respect, honesty, and dedicated advocacy, reflecting our promise to show up consistently and fight for the outcomes children deserve.
The Honey Bear Project offers comprehensive, end-to-end IEP advocacy services designed to support families at every stage of the special education process—from initial evaluations and eligibility guidance to IEP and 504 plan reviews, meeting representation, and long-term transition planning. Our approach includes strategic case planning, document preparation, written communication support, dispute resolution, and parent coaching to ensure that families feel informed and empowered throughout the process. We provide flexible service plans to meet a range of needs, from accessible, low-cost guidance to full advocacy representation and ongoing support, with specialized options for families navigating complex cases or systemic inequities. To ensure access, we also offer adaptable payment options, including major credit cards, online platforms, bank transfers, cash payments for in-person services, and installment plans that make high-quality advocacy more manageable and attainable.
